Most homes built prior to 1980 with masonry chimneys and veneer need some sort of tuck pointing and repair. Age, weather and earthquakes can undermine the integrity of the mortar and the joints. We can repair most masonry used on homes, restore the appearance of the original brick and improve it’s longevity.

We also do cosmetic masonry repair and replacement such as fireplaces, fireboxes and other masonry elements not otherwise needing tuck pointing. An example of such a repair is below.

Old brick can be easily replaced.  This is a fireplace I rebuilt in 1994.  It had old Roman brick from the 50s and the client wanted to update the interior of her home.
